The position of Youth Services Assistant is responsible for front line member service transactions including front line, first-level reference and reader’s advisory services. Responsible for facilitation of youth services programming.
What You’ll Do
As a Youth Services Assistant, you will:
- Responsibility for program/service delivery (internal/external), coordination of staff
- Plans, organizes and conducts youth services programs and assists with or conducts other programs or events as requested.
- Promotes the library and use of its services to school classes, children's and teen groups and new members by conducting tours of the library, conducting curriculum workshops, orienting new child members to the collection and visiting schools and/or community groups.
- Answers patron questions in person, by telephone or by internet:
- General Inquiries.
- Catalogue search and use of available reference tools...
