The working student inside the GIS-team is supporting the sourcing, maintenance, and provision of geographical data required within BD Germany. The role also includes active involvement in identifying suitable areas for large-scale PV and BESS projects, obtaining landowner information, and creating maps for acquisition and contractual purposes.
- Support GIS-based screenings for large-scale hybrid PV+BESS projects using QGIS, ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online
- Assist with sourcing, maintaining and preparing geographical data
- Support the ordering, processing and provision of landowner and parcel information
- Create and update maps for acquisition, planning and contractual purposes
- Help maintain GIS databases and structure project-related geodata
- Support the preparation of reliable and traceable map material
