Experience the rewarding world of wildlife conservation as a Wildlife Conservation Technician specializing in badger telemetry with the BC Conservation Foundation. This 40-hour-per-week contract starts June 1, 2025.
Tasked with reducing badger road mortality, you'll collaborate with BC Gov and Simpcw Resources, conducting telemetry and assessing wildlife passage through infrastructure. Your role will involve live-trapping, equipment maintenance, and data management, with a strong focus on safety and detail in the scenic outdoor environments of Kamloops.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and check traps for badger surveys
• Perform telemetry on GPS-equipped badgers
• Organize and digitize field data for analysis
