Welding Supervisor

Horizon Maritime Northern Services Ltd. seeks a Welding Department Supervisor to support the Marine Transport Services Shipyard located in Hay River, Northwest Territories.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the welding team responsible for maintaining and repairing the Marine Transportation Services fleet and infrastructure. The role ensures that all welding, fabrication, and structural repairs comply with Transport Canada, Classification Societies such as Lloyd’s Register and ABS, and Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards. The Supervisor directs journeyperson welders and apprentices, coordinates work with project teams and MTS management, and ensures delivery of high‑quality welding services.
