Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
- Set up welding equipment and select the appropriate welding method based on the project specifications.
- Safely operate welding tools and machinery, including arc welders, gas torches, and plasma cutters.
- Perform various welding techniques such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding.
- Weld and fabricate metal components and structures according to project requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of welds by conducting visual inspections and using appropriate measuring tools.
- Repair and modify welded structures as needed, following established procedures and guidelines.
