What does a Web Designer do in WPP Production?
Web Designers create new artwork and localise supplied artwork (hardware, screens, lifestyle, etc.) in Photoshop files based on locale requirements, optimise assets for visual clarity per client standards, export assets into required formats, and check assets into a repository.
Key Responsibilities
- Update product imagery and UI elements in Photoshop comps, and output web graphics.
- Structure Photoshop comps to optimise efficient production design and localisation workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps.
- Track and check on web graphics using a version control system.
- Work closely with producers, traffic, development, publishing, and international teams to meet project goals and ensure efficient file handoffs for localisation.
- Review final webpages and HTML email with an exacting eye, ensuring graphics and layouts are flawless.
