Virtual Authorizations Coordinator

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review physician progress notes and medical documentation to determine the appropriate referrals and authorizations required.
- Submit authorization and referral requests to insurance providers and external facilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate with providers, clinical staff, and external partners to gather or clarify necessary information for approvals.
- Track and follow up on pending authorizations, resolving any issues or denials in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Provide support to practice leadership by identifying trends or delays in the authorization process.
- Analyze data and performance metrics related to authorization turnaround times using Excel and Google Sheets.
- Assist in the coordination of special projects and workflow improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and organizational information.
