VIA Rail Network Operations Specialist

VIA Rail seeks a Network Operations Specialist to ensure optimal train service performance. Your role will involve monitoring delays and coordinating communications with stakeholders.
In this role, you will report to the Manager, Network Operations, and be pivotal in documenting service disruptions and managing emergency situations. The Officer will actively monitor the entire VIA rail network and directly engage with rail traffic controllers and other stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor train performance system-wide and report delays
• Communicate urgent matters via SMS, email, and calls
• Track and initiate incident reports with TSB
• Handle operational plan exceptions
• Document technical issues and manage troubleshooting
Requirements:
• Diploma in Transportation or relevant field
