We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support our Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant programs. The role is located in Orillia, will move to Barrie in Fall 2026, and the incumbent will report to the Associate Dean. The position provides technician support in teaching labs within the Veterinary Assistant and Technician Programs, assisting faculty and students during laboratory sessions, maintaining equipment and teaching animals/models, and ensuring compliance with safety and welfare standards to contribute to an effective learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
- Assist faculty during laboratory sessions by demonstrating proper clinical, nursing, and technical procedures.
- Guide and coach students in hands‑on skills such as restraint, sample collection, anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, dentistry, and other foundational competencies.
