The Utility / Kitchen Staff member supports daily kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting food preparation, and ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly and meeting food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, counters, storage rooms, and trash areas
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks (washing, peeling, cutting ingredients)
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food, supplies, and equipment
- Take out trash and recycling following sanitation guidelines
- Follow health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
- Support opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
- Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries
