Construction Inspector – Utilities
Job Summary
Report to the Utility Superintendent and prepare status reports on the installation of water and wastewater infrastructure by City of Mission utility crews and private contractors. Check daily work status and submit daily reports to management. Ensure installations meet the standards of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, OSHA, and the City of Mission subdivision standards. Work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional 12‑hour days, weekends, and holidays as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
- Report daily to the Utility foreman on all tasks and duty assignments.
- Monitor each construction site regardless of weather or contractor activity and submit a daily report.
- Measure the amount of linear feet of pipe installed and infrastructure on a daily basis.
