At the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB, we combine biology and technology for health, nutrition, sustainable chemistry, environmental and climate protection. We develop processes, technologies, and products for patient-specific healthcare, a sustainable bioeconomy, as well as a climate-neutral and resource-efficient circular economy, and successfully bring new solutions into industrial application. Our research is conducted at the locations in Stuttgart, Biberach, Leuna, and Straubing, and in close cooperation with numerous universities and research institutions in Germany and abroad.
