**POSITION PURPOSE**
Assists with patient care and ED functions by patient transportation, supply, and equipment distribution and general tasks in a non-clerical nature.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Transport stable, non-monitored patients within the department and to other areas within the health care system such as diagnostic procedure areas (CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear medicine, etc.), and to inpatient units for admissions. Transport equipment within the department and to other departments of the health care center. Replaces contaminated medical wasted containers, sharps containers, linen bags, and oxygen tanks as well as maintains stock of linen cupboards, pillows, blanket warmers, wheelchairs, stretchers, and IV pumps.
