Underwriting Specialist, Construction

Aviva Global Corporate & Specialty offers a newly created role within the Construction, Renewable Energy and Mining team in the Corporate Risk Group. The role is based in Toronto, Ontario and seeks an Underwriting Specialist with strong industry experience in the construction sector to help expand our presence in the large, complex risk market.

What You’ll Do

• Underwrite and qualify new and renewal business by assessing customer needs, risk characteristics, and exposures within construction, renewable energy, and/or mining sectors, with a primary focus aligned to your expertise.
• Drive profitable growth by identifying and securing opportunities within large-scale infrastructure, energy, and resource-based risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and deepen market presence in targeted industries.
