This position has good knowledge of the company's underwriting requirements.
This position assists the account manager on underwriting issues as well as routine procedural issues and identifying and assimilating new and revised standards.
It is expected that people in this position will develop the skills, experience and knowledge to transition into the Senior Underwriter position.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of different policy forms, coverages and FM Global's writing style and policy construction guidelines.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of company underwriting standards, policy forms and coverages, and loss prevention practices.
- Effectively uses interpersonal skills.
Effectively uses Planning & Organizational skills to properly prioritize workload.
- Works with Account Managers to ensure policies, binders, endorsements and other Underwriting documents are properly prepared and executed.
