Underground Construction Technician (Calgary)

Our Distribution group is currently looking to add Underground Construction Technician (s) to our growing team, based in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Foreman, we are seeking a physically capable and team-oriented construction professional to support the installation of underground electrical infrastructure on the Calgary Green Line LRT project.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Erect temporary support structures, pouring concrete for retaining walls, and installing structural steel ribs or pre‑cast concrete liners
• Dig shallow trenches, reinforcing and covering them with concrete
• Shovel, load, and remove excavated earth and debris
• Operate company vehicles, mini excavators, and backhoes to support underground installation activities
• Support field crews as directed by the Foreman
• Read and interpret construction drawings to carry out assigned tasks accurately and within provided timelines
