A truck mechanic / diesel technician inspects, diagnoses, repairs and maintains heavy duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
Typical Duties
- Perform PMS (Preventive Maintenance Service) oil changes, filters, fluid checks, tire rotations and brake inspections etc.
- Inspect engine and identify mechanical issues in drive train (transmission, driveshaft, axles, differential).
- Inspect and repair braking systems, suspension, and steering components.
Skills Required
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel and gasoline engines.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Physically fit and able to work in a garage or field environment.
- Good communication with drivers and operations team.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures.
