Truck Driver - Class 1 or Class 3

Overview

Truck Driver - Class 1 role at J.D. Irving, Limited. The driver will provide local delivery services to Irving Shipyards and vendors, handle order picking and some forklift operations. Equipment includes box truck, curtain side truck, and tractor with a 47’ trailer on a rotational basis. Responsibilities include monitoring truck maintenance and maintaining driver’s records requirements such as daily check lists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to Irving ship building sites and local vendor warehouses safety
• Load/ unload product
• Prepare trucks for loading and assist the warehouse staff as required
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and safety
• Maintain contact with supervisor and work to resolve any issues
• Verify load security and accuracy
