Work Conditions
On site: The work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
- Demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
- Load and unload goods.
- Oversee condition of vehicle; inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Pay and receive payments for goods.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
