Transmission Planning/Studies Engineer (Toronto)

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of steady‑state and transient power system studies.
• Participate in meetings with utilities as part of project delivery or business development.
• Lead or support projects throughout the whole lifecycle, from the technical bid/proposal to execution, reports, client meetings/presentations, and close‑out.
• Work closely with team members across North America and globally.
• Participate in ISO/RTO stakeholder forums and other applicable technical committees and stay up to date with the latest standards and requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience with power system studies using PSS/E, TARA and/or PSCAD.
• Strong background with at least one of the following system operators: ISO‑NE, NYISO, PJM, IESO.
