• Education: Grade 12
• Experience: 0–6 months

Responsibilities

• Help to foster an atmosphere and environment of pride, respect, and trust.
• Assist with the preservation of traditional knowledge and oral tradition.
• Assist classroom teachers with First Nations and Métis knowledge, language, and traditional skills.
• Teach traditional and cultural skills such as trapping, fishing, beading, storytelling, and smudging.
• Teach cultural life skills to promote mastery, generosity, independence, and belonging.
• Meet with at-risk youths.
• Assist with parent support groups.
