Supply Chain Operations is part of Vestas' growing and evolving Service Business Unit. The department is responsible for planning, repairing, certifying, and providing technical support for tools required for the MRO business.
Responsibilities
Analyze past demand and liaise with stakeholders to calculate the forecast for future tool demands
Calculate safety stock and lot size for tool warehouses
Analyze and define models to decide when tools shall be centralized in the main warehouse vs. decentralized in site warehouses
Define a model to calculate the ratio of tools per megawatt depending on turbine platform, contract scope, etc.
Inventory management, such as balancing surplus and investigating major stock deviations
