Tooling Engineer

The Tooling Engineer is responsible to design and develop composite molds and assembly fixtures to support prototyping activities.

• communicates with the customer;
• follow up NPI project – tool trial schedule ;
• quotes tool modification & repair;
• ensures new project schedule follows customer project timeline
• responsible for providing an efficient process plan for Tooling including clamping method and possibility of automation;
• provides tool modification & repair cost;
• checks 2D drawing to find out error and complicated fabrication process;
• troubleshoots technical problems on all Tooling jobs with solution;
• ensures Tooling process was clearly specified on each drawing (excluding Tooling Standard List);
• maintains the discipline and ensure Hi-P culture practice at all the times;
• participates in any audit required by the company;
