Tool Build Engineer
As a Tool Build Engineer you will launch, coordinate the tool build, and maintain close communication with Product Engineers, Program Manager, Tool Shop, and receiving plant to meet PPAP requirements and timing.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end tooling development for automotive injection molds (from RFQ to TMA).
- Coordinate build and release of new tools used in molding plastic parts.
- Manage global suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and timing targets.
- Build multiple tools simultaneously with various suppliers.
- Drive engineering changes, tool transfers, and program launches.
- Generate tool build quotes for timing and delivery.
- Meet key dates, maintain throughput and quality targets.
- Perform capacity analysis and support plant tooling strategy.
