Responsibilities
- Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs.
- Install tile strips.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy.
Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Attention to detail.
Qualifications
- No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience: 2 to less than 3 years.
- Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles.
- Personal suitability: Accurate, reliable, team player, hardworking.
