The GTAW (TIG) Welding Instructor oversees daily program operations, delivering theory and practical instruction while providing learner support.
Responsibilities
- Oxy‑Fuel welding, cutting, and gouging.
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
- Fabrication and repair of tubular structures.
- Trade‑related math, measurement, blueprint reading, and documentation.
- Provide instruction on shop and workplace safety.
- Administer and oversee work practicum components, coordinating with industry partners.
- Provide instruction and supervision in general lathe operations and milling procedures (e.g., test plates).
- Ensure program compliance with industry standards.
- Continuously improve the TIG welding program, implementing necessary updates and changes.
