At the Sulzbach-Rosenberg site, Fraunhofer UMSICHT develops plants, processes and manufacturing methods for the carbonization of biomass and biogenic waste and residual materials. The working group Preparation of thermochemical conversion products deals with possible applications of the biochar produced in this process. The bachelor's thesis will investigate the suitability of this biochar as a membrane substrate for separating hydrogen from gas mixtures.
