About the play
Build Me Up is an immersive three-act play, following JACKSON, a young chef striving to be as great as he thinks he can be, and the intricate relationships with the people around him. Through each act, the dramedy focuses on a new person during a different era of Jackson's life, all through the lens of an intimate dish he cooks for them. The performance will take place in real kitchens in homes around Toronto, complete with live music and fresh food. Ultimately, this is a story about connection through diversity, creating communities, and good food.
Rate
This is a non-union, unpaid production. Creative Practice Hours will be available to TMU students. Craft service (and lots of good food) will be provided.
