Responsibilities

• Design mechanical tooling to support product build, testing, and repair.
• Engage closely with machine shops and operations engineering teams in assembly and verification of recent tooling, troubleshoot existing tools, and procure parts for prototype units once a design is approved.
• Create and/or update 3D mechanical models in CAD programs.
• Work closely with the customer to gain knowledge of project specifications.
• Guide internal customers and make recommendations to tooling requirements.
• Generate details, assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOM) for new and existing tooling projects.
• Create tooling procedures and user manuals.
• Utilize the PLM application (Team Center) to control tooling documentation and commercial parts creation.
