(TEMPORARY FULL-TIME) REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE - FORENSIC TRANSITIONAL UNIT (FTU)

Overview

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to work in our Forensic Program. As an RPN, you will provide specialized care to patients with complex mental illnesses by using a recovery‑focused model of care built upon compassion, inspiration, and hope. You will be based in the Forensic Transitional Unit (FTU) while being prepared to work in all units of the Centre as patient needs dictate.

The Forensic Program includes the General Forensic Service (three units, higher security), the Lower Security Forensic Service (three units), and the Forensic Outpatient Service. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients ordered by courts or the Ontario Review Board.

Qualifications

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
• Current CPR – Health Care Provider certification.
