Telescope Mechanical Engineer — On-site Residency in Chile

Las Campanas Observatory in Chile is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to support telescope operations and maintenance. This full-time role involves troubleshooting telescope systems and participating in instrument commissioning while living in a beautiful mountainous environment.

The candidate will work within an international team on a one-year fixed-term contract and enjoy transportation and lodging provided by the observatory. Strong engineering knowledge and fluency in both English and Spanish are required.
