Telecommunications Field Technician (Toronto)

About the Role

Cyient has an immediate opening for a Field Technician in our Telecommunications Business Unit.

The role focuses on Outside Plant (OSP) field data collection across Ontario and surrounding regions.

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple job locations daily to review proposed fiber facilities, telecom infrastructure, and designs for field accuracy, and propose adjustments when needed.
• Visit sites daily to record and analyze field conditions related to telecom poles, aerial/underground structures, and street/right‑of‑way measurements for future or current fiber designs and equipment locations.
• Perform field surveys (ISP/OSP) and take detailed notes, photos, and sketches of on‑site findings.
• Assist Design Specialists by providing detailed feedback on potential cable paths and site surveys.
