Responsibilities
- Activate a pre-defined workaround or make temporary modifications to PLC code when a hardware fault is identified.
- Collaborate with the Automation Control team to diagnose and deploy required code fixes.
- Provide front‑line investigation of live production control systems (hardware and software) using diagnostic tools such as Profibus or CAN Bus networks and barcode readers.
- Carry out planned maintenance across the site.
- Analyze data and find solutions to improve Mission‑Critical Equipment (MHE) performance.
- Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard.
Qualifications
- An associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, or advanced training with a minimum of five years of experience.
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a controls technician, preferably in an automation environment.
