Technician – extractive metallurgy

Job Description

To perform the role of technician within the Extractive Metallurgy department. The responsibilities and authorities of the technician in the department in relation to post requirements are outlined

Perform routine and non-routine tests following established procedures and/or modify procedures to accomplish the assigned tasks. Complete tasks within the allocated time and plan work for operators and senior operators to ensure that the overall service goals of the company are met. Responsible for carrying out the required test work unsupervised. Responsible for preparing accurate logsheets and perform quality checks on test work data Required to prepare presentations of test work data, prepare project update reports with the assistance of the project manager Ensure housekeeping in the allocated work area Responsible for submission of samples for analysis – including filling in the submission forms.
