Team Leader Sport Development (Part-Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Sport Development Coordinator, is responsible for providing on-site leadership and supervision to staff teams working in various City recreation facilities which includes assessing compliance to applicable legislation and municipal by-laws, health and safety and work performance. The coordination of day-to-day operations and assignment of work is also an integral part of the position.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for assisting in on-site supervision of staff including the provision of technical direction, monitoring performance, coaching/mentoring, health & safety compliance, and risk assessment.
• Liaises with user groups and monitors rentals. Serves as on-site contact and facilitates requests.
