Job Overview
This position provides legal secretarial support to one or more lawyers and maintains a close and highly responsive relationship with day‑to‑day activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepares complex legal documents such as correspondence, factums, motions, summonses through transcription of written or recorded documents.
- Drafts standard legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings for lawyer review; edits grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- Exercises initiative and judgment in the lawyer’s absence, negotiating extensions, prioritising and responding to diverse communications.
- Manages the lawyer’s calendar, schedules appointments, coordinates appearances and resolves scheduling conflicts independently.
