Supply Planner – Overview
The main role of the Supply Planner is to anticipate and maintain stock levels of finished goods and components by performing routine stock analysis and ensuring that stocking levels are financially feasible.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate inventory demand using analytical models and mathematical analysis to determine average inventory needed per period and forecast upcoming sales or promotions.
- Identify and evaluate forecast demand and project capacity allocation to support company objectives.
- Determine preferred stock levels, prevent excess inventory, and set reorder points to support inventory targets and on‑time delivery.
- Develop demand and supply plans.
- Track inventory levels and suggest changes to upper management.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners, maintaining strong relationships with Manufacturing, Procurement, Forecasting, Vendors, IT, and Finance ...
