Supplier Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist Purchasing in the selection and evaluation of suppliers.- Lead and perform supplier evaluations, assessments, and subcontractor quality audits.- Communicate CVG quality policies and procedures to new suppliers and verify ongoing compliance.- Maintain and verify supplier ISO/IATF certifications.-
- Ensure new product launches occur without supplier quality issues.- Provide guidance to suppliers in the development of their Quality Management Systems (QMS).- Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives, especially for new suppliers or programs.- Support plants by facilitating communication with suppliers when issues arise or responses are delayed.- Conduct onsite supplier visits to provide technical support and drive resolution of concerns related to capability, quality, delivery, or capacity.- Monitor, analyze, and report supplier performance metrics; distribute scorecards monthly as needed.- Use data-driven insights to target suppliers for development and i...
