Supervisor, Traffic Planning

Reporting to the Manager, Traffic Operations and Planning, this position is responsible for overseeing traffic planning and preview of development proposals, including subdivision and site plans and their related traffic impact studies, to ensure the safe and efficient movement of pedestrians, motorists, and cyclists.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Staff supervision: Provide guidance, supervision, information, and assisted leadership to Traffic Planning staff. Direct and assign tasks, supervise and validate results. Prepare and implement work schedules and staff assignments, including overtime, to ensure adequate coverage of operations. Enforce and interpret collective agreements and City policies and procedures, providing performance feedback and participating in disciplinary action if required.
