Supervisor, Patient Support Services

Position Description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Patient Support Services, the Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service satisfaction within the provisions of the Housekeeping, Linen and Transport Services of the Hospital in a unionized environment. This position is the primary point of contact for all service issues related to Housekeeping, Linen and Transport Services. The Supervisor is responsible for providing day to day supervision to front-line Housekeeping Aides, Patient Service Aides and Transport Aides within the department. This position is responsible for ensuring that adequate staffing levels are maintained to ensure the efficient operation of the department. The Supervisor will also be responsible for leading, training and managing a diverse workforce within a 24/7 operation which provides service across the entire Hospital.
