Overview
The Submarine Technical Training SME is responsible for providing Royal Canadian Navy submarine operations and training expertise to the Training Systems Integration (TSI) team as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME). The SME serves as the primary engineering and technical authority for submarine engineering disciplines including propulsion, power generation/distribution, hotel services, auxiliary systems, atmosphere control, trim/buoyancy, damage control, weapons, sensors and platform survivability. Responsibilities include contributing to analysis, design, and validation of training solutions that prepare submariners to operate, monitor, diagnose, and recover submarine systems safely and effectively and guiding scenario design, simulation fidelity requirements, data‑driven performance measurement, and instructor development across shore‑based and at‑sea training.
