Responsibilities
Reporting to the Special Education Lead, the successful candidate will provide direct observation and assessment of identified students within the educational setting using Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) principles. Working collaboratively with the school team, the candidate will develop individualized Behaviour Support Plans and Safety Plans, and support school staff with effective implementation and development of the Behaviour Support Plan and any classroom strategies through modelling, coaching, consultation, and feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI); instructor designation is considered an asset.
