Heartland Constructors Inc. is recruiting Structural Ironworker Journeypersons for the SUNCOR Firebag site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Shift: Day. Schedule: Straight Through; 12 hours/day. Accommodations: Camp. Travel: Fly to and from site.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

• Erect structural steel components, install conveyors and robotic equipment, and sometimes perform reconstructive work on existing structures.
• Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures.
• Check alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding with an electric arc process.
• Hold required safety tickets: CSO (Common Safety Orientation), Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection, Energy Safety Canada Elevated Work Platform, Energy Safety Canada Confined Space, Basic Rigging, WHMI...
