Structural Ironworker Journeypersons - Suncor Firebag - Capital Projects
Heartland Constructors Inc. is recruiting Structural Ironworker Journeypersons for the SUNCOR Firebag site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Shift: Day. Schedule: Straight Through; 12 hours/day. Accommodations: Camp. Travel: Fly to and from site.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Erect structural steel components, install conveyors and robotic equipment, and sometimes perform reconstructive work on existing structures.
- Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures.
- Check alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding with an electric arc process.
- Hold required safety tickets: CSO (Common Safety Orientation), Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection, Energy Safety Canada Elevated Work Platform, Energy Safety Canada Confined Space, Basic Rigging, WHMI...
