Management of permanent works engineering and coordination/development of shop drawings.
Responsibilities
- The delivery of coordinated shop drawings for structural and civil elements of the project.
- Establish clear and unambiguous standards for the team to follow.
- Resolve engineering conflicts using a “best for project” approach.
- Update weekly/monthly tracking instruments (spreadsheets) to provide accurate and visual representations of engineering progress.
- Maintain the engineering folder structure and encourage subordinates to do the same.
- Fill gaps in the delivery team, such as completing a BSS when needed.
- Formulate coherent, clear, and concise RFIs / TQs to clarify ambiguous design elements.
- Alert the EM, PM or CM of changes to tender requirements that affect design responsibility or scope creep.
