Responsibilities
- Categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records
- Ensure quality submission of all data in specified registries or measure data repositories
- Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools
- Maintain high accuracy thresholds and meet tight deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks
- Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines
- Keep up to date on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements
- Maintain high degree of responsibility in keeping PHI secure and confidential
Requirements
- Direct abstraction experience in the Get With the Guidelines Stroke registry
- Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases
