Job Summary:
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within the kitchen and food preparation areas. The role supports kitchen operations by ensuring that all utensils, equipment, and work areas are clean, properly stored, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and cooking equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, storage rooms, and food preparation stations
- Dispose of garbage and kitchen waste properly and regularly
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks during operations
- Refill cleaning supplies and report shortages when necessary
