JOB SUMMARY

To assist with proper functioning of a fine dining kitchen by performing sanitation, maintenance tasks and performing basic culinary skills and tasks.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitizing of the kitchen area including dishes, glassware and flatware, pots, pans, appliances, equipment, surfaces, floors and also to assist with basic food preparation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Some high school
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System Certificate (WHMIS)
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR recommended
  • National Sanitation Certificate or equivalent recommended
  • Familiar with dish washing equipment an asset
  • Familiar with cleaning chemicals an asset
  • On the job training provided

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

  • Must supply own uniform
  • Must supply own black, non-slip work shoes
