Qualifications
The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and back-of-house areas, ensuring all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored according to hotel standards.
- Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, and equipment.
- Keep kitchen, dishwashing area, and back-of-house areas clean and organized.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain hygiene standards.
- Support kitchen team with basic cleaning and setup tasks when needed.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report any damaged equipment or safety issues to supervisor.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Support chefs and kitchen team with basic operational tasks when needed.
- Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
