STEM Merit Bursary 2027 - Full Tuition & Accommodation

Overview

This is an Academic Merit Bursary Programme designed to support academically talented students who are pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or Automation fields. This bursary is open to full-time undergraduate students in their first, second, or third year of study in 2027, at accredited South African tertiary institutions.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a South African citizen by birth.
• Must undertake full‑time undergraduate studies in a South African university.
• Provide provisional acceptance at an accredited South African university.
• If currently in matric, must have an average of 70% in Mathematics and Physics and an average of 60% in English in their June 2026 results.
• Must obtain a minimum of 65% average or higher if in the first year of tertiary or above.
