Standardized Patient Trainer

Position Summary

Assists the Standardized Patient Educator and the Director of the Lab and simulation in planning simulation activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Organizes schedules and coordinates all sessions that require standardized patients and reviews schedules with faculty in collaboration with the Standardized Patient Educator.
• Provides liaison between faculty and standardized patients (SPs) during work sessions.
• Attends briefings with SPs, faculty members and evaluators prior to programs.
• Organizes and implements dry runs and rehearsals with the standardized patients and the faculty prior to the session.
• Assists with application of moulage, make-up and props according to the learning activity.
• Implements the administrative procedures related to all activities involving SPs.
